“Dancing With the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsev is single following his divorce from Nikki Garcia. While the split is still fairly fresh, Garcia has already been thinking about what she’d like in a partner — and she’s been talking about it on her podcast.
“Do we wanna train? I want to be owned. I want my body rocked,” she said on the February 17 episode of the “Nikki & Brie” podcast. The podcast was filmed during Super Bowl weekend and the women had been chatting about the athletes playing in the big game.
“Where’s the retired ones? The ones that have some wisdom, and age, and have experienced life a little bit?” Nikki went on to wonder.
“I’ll just do it all; I’ll do young, I’ll do retired,” she joked.
Garcia and Chigvintsev finalized their divorce in November 2024. They share one son together; 4-year-old Matteo.
Nikki Garcia Has No Interest in Getting Remarried
While Garcia begins to navigate life as a single mom, she knows there’s one thing that she doesn’t want to do again, and that’s get married.
“I can definitely see myself falling in love again,” Garcia told Us Weekly in an interview that was published in January. “I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon,” she continued.
“I’ve talked to people about this. There [are] commitment ceremonies. I’m like, ‘I don’t ever want to sign paperwork again. No, thank you.’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, you could still have a wedding. It’s just more of a commitment ceremony. You can wear rings, but you don’t need to sign papers,'” she added.
“I don’t want to be legally [bound]. We could talk about changing names way in the future if this person is my person. No paperwork,” she explained.
Nikki Garcia Is Focusing on Her Son
Dating someone knew may not be in the forefront of Garcia’s mind. What is, however, is her son, Matteo.
For example, when Garcia was asked how she’d be spending Valentine’s Day, her answer was simple.
“For me right now, it’s anything with my son,” she told E! News. “He gives me the greatest love ever. He fills my cup up beyond,” she continued.
And that’s exactly what she did.
“My forever Valentine. Such a magical weekend with my Tay Tay. He got to go in a hot air balloon!! They are his FAVORITE! He was so happy! I was so grateful. All I want is my baby boy to be so incredibly happy,” she captioned an Instagram post on February 17.
