Craig Conover Says 2 of His Co-Stars Have Been ‘Really Great’ After His Breakup

“Southern Charm” star Craig Conover shared that his two castmates and friends, Austen Kroll and Shep Rose, have been a source of support as he has been navigating his breakup from “Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo.

While speaking to Access Hollywood in February 2025, Conover noted that he and Kroll had a falling out during “Southern Charm” season 10. He said, however, that despite their past issues, Kroll has been in his corner following his November 2024 split from DeSorbo. Conover also said that Rose has been equally supportive.

“[Kroll] was really great through the breakup. Him and Shep both were. They gained a lot of my respect through that,” said Conover during the interview. “We fight a lot. But they were really great. Just by being there. They didn’t have to do anything. But they were just there. So it was nice.”

Austen Kroll Spoke About Craig Conover’s Breakup

During a January 2025 appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast, Kroll spoke about Conover’s breakup with DeSorbo. According to Kroll, he told Conover to spend time with his friends after his split.

“Craig came over to my house and Shep came as well. And the three of us talked about Craig’s breakup,” said Kroll during the interview. “And I was just like, ‘Craig, I want you to promise me that you aren’t just going to, like, shut off.’ And I’m like, ‘If you need someone to talk to and hang with, and take your mind off it, call me. Call me. It’s not good for you to be solo with your thoughts.'”

Kroll is not the only “Southern Charm” star who has commented on Conover’s November 2024 breakup. For instance, LeCroy shared the kind words she gave Conover following his split in a January 2025 Amazon Live, as reported by E! News.

“I just told him, ‘You’re going to be a great husband, you’re going to be a great dad one day. You have so much to look forward to, like, just be lucky you didn’t already have those things and then go through a breakup.’ I’m here to hype him up when he’s down—and I’ll do that for anyone really,” said LeCroy while filming her Amazon Live.

Amanda Batula Gave an Update About Paige DeSorbo

Following DeSorbo’s breakup with Conover, her “Summer House” castmate Amanda Batula has repeatedly come to her defense. In a February 2025 interview with Page Six, Batula said she was unhappy with how Conover has publicly handled his breakup. She said she believed that Conover should have cleared up rumors that DeSorbo cheated on him. DeSorbo has previously said the rumors were untrue.

During an exclusive February 2025 email interview with EntertainmentNOW, Batula said that she has been vocal in her support for DeSorbo following her breakup because her “love for Paige runs deep.” She also gave an update on what DeSorbo has been up to.

“She’s still on her podcast tour. She’s hosting the Vanity Fair Oscars live stream soon. She’s working on some other big projects that I’ll let her share. She’s making the most of this new chapter in her life,” said Batula to EntertainmentNOW.
