Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler opened up about the status of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” – and they revealed that they don’t take casting rumors seriously anymore.
In May 2025, the RHONJ “friends of” spoke out on their “Two Jersey Js” podcast and said they’re not sure if their names would be included on rumors lists as they were cast as “friends” last season and not main cast members.
“I’m gonna be totally honest,” Goldschneider said to Fessler. “When there’s a rumor that certain people are coming back, I don’t know if that means that you and I are not coming back or we are, because I don’t know if we’d be included in that list since we’re ‘friends’.”
While she noted that she doesn’t let casting rumors bother her anymore, she added, “If the people that I’m close to and that I really like got cast and I didn’t, but the people who hate me didn’t get cast either, yeah, I’d ride off into the sunset.”
Fessler pointed out that “certain people” returning to the show would never upset her because they are “iconic.”
“So yeah, like Melissa [Gorga] goes back, and Teresa [Giudice] goes back like I don’t, I don’t care,” Goldschneider agreed. “They were on it way before I came along, and they’ll be on it after I leave… But as it looks right now, none of us are coming back anytime soon,” she added.
In addition to Goldschneider and Fessler, the 14th season of starred Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda. There have been rumors of a cast shakeup for season 15.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Fessler and Goldscheider pointed to Bravo’s recent programming announcement, which touted a list of new shows, including one new “Real Housewives” franchise based in Rhode Island. They speculated that RHONJ won’t be back until at least 2026.
“There’s a lot of new shows coming up,” Goldschneider said. “It just makes me feel like Jersey might be sitting out in the corner for a little while longer.”
When the time for casting does come, Goldschneider said she expects she would get a phone call either way. “I imagine that they wouldn’t just, a longtime cast member… they wouldn’t just like invite everyone else back and like leave you guessing. I’m sure you would get a phone call,” she said.
Andy Cohen Confirmed Fans Will Not Hear Anything for a While
Bravo“Real Housewives’ executive producer Andy Cohen has made it clear there won’t be RHONJ casting news anytime soon. “Not for a while. Oh yeah,” Cohen told “Housewives Nightcap” in May 2025.
Last fall, Cohen told Us Weekly that it could be 2026 before an official announcement is made. “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he said in December. “And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
