“The Valley” star Kristen Doute just welcomed her baby girl!
She took to Instagram on Friday, June 13, to announce the arrival of her child.
“Kaia Lily Broderick, we’ve never known a love like this until you. 🪷,” she wrote.
The “Vanderpump” alum spoke with Us Weekly to dish about welcoming her first child. The outlet reported she had baby Kaia on Wednesday, June 11.
Doute expressed how happy she is being a mom.
“She’s here, and we still can’t believe it. Luke is even hotter as a dad, and I just feel so lucky,” she gushed. “And even though I haven’t slept or showered in two days, seeing our daughter and finally being able to hold her makes it all worth it.”
She added, “We’re completely overwhelmed with love and so grateful for her— our lives are already changed completely.”
The Bravo star previously experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage on her journey to motherhood.
Doute Dishes on the Name
The 42-year-old told the outlet the origin of her daughter’s name. Doute, along with her fiancé Luke Broderick, wanted the name to represent their love for Hawaii.
The two ended up getting engaged in the Aloha State, and the name Kaia is Hawaiian for “the sea.”
“We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water,” Doute said.
As for her daughter’s middle name, Doute expressed it is her favorite flower.
“Lillies are my favorite flower. They’re associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also the name Lily indicates a ‘gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality,’” she added.
Doute also incorporated plants while she designed Kaia’s nursery, according to PEOPLE.
“I wanted warm colors, and even though I’m having a girl, I wanted to stay away from the pink Barbie feel. I love boho aesthetic, ethereal, and I had to incorporate plants,” she told to outlet prior to giving birth. “I love having real plants all over the house as it’s great for the quality of the air in the home.”

Fellow cast members and fans took to social media to express their joy over Doute’s becoming a first time mom!
“The Valley” star Zack Wickham gushed about how adorable her baby girl is. “She sure is she’s so precious and tiny ❤️ love yall so much!” he wrote on her Instagram post.
Jesse Lally, also apart of “The Valley”, expressed how he and his daughter Isabella can’t wait to meet the little one.
“Congratulations@kristendoute and @luke__broderick. We’re so happy for you both,” he wrote. “It’s an incredible journey. We’re so excited to meet her and Isabella couldn’t be happier to have a new cousin!”
“Vanderpump” alum Scheana Shay added, “Congratulations!!!!!!! Beautiful name. Beautiful girl. 😍😍😍”
