Bravo Star Announces Run for Georgia State Representative

Season 12 of “Married to Medicine” is already in production, so that means that the cast is quite busy, but filming and dentistry aren’t enough for Dr. Heavenly Kimes. The often controversial reality star has just announced a run for political office in Georgia. Plus, she also has a surprising campaign manager.

According to PEOPLE, Dr. Heavenly, 54, has announced that she’s running for Georgia State Representative in District 93. She said in a statement, “I’m not a career politician. I’m a mom, a doctor, a business owner — and I’m not afraid to stand up for what I believe in.”

Dr. Heavenly will hold her first campaign rally on July 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. outside the Georgia State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta. The event is open to the public, and she urged people to support her by wearing “Dr. Heavenly for Georgia” T-shirts. She also said they should “bring their energy for an unforgettable moment in Atlanta history.”

Dr. Heavenly’s platform will focus on healthcare, economics, education, and support for small businesses in her district. Her statement continued, “I’ve spent my life helping people build confidence, start businesses, and take control of their futures. Now I’m bringing that same passion to the State Capitol. District 93 deserves someone who’s not just talking, but doing.”

“Married to Medicine” fans will recognize Heavenly’s campaign manager. It is her Bravo co-star, Quad Webb.

Dr. Heavenly Has Released a Campaign Video

Dr. Heavenly released a campaign video on Instagram ahead of her first rally. She begins by saying, “I’m ready, and I’m walking in my purpose. I bring a unique and needed voice.” Heavenly can also be seen shaking hands with constituents and seemingly explaining her platform. She also says that her move to politics is the result of “a call from God.”

Bravo viewers first met the good doctor on the second season of “Married to Medicine.” She’s been a mainstay on the series ever since, constantly stirring the pot and never holding back from giving her opinion. Her no-nonsense candor makes her a fan favorite. Since cameras are currently rolling for season 12, her journey into politics will likely be followed in the new season of the Bravo series.
