‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Willow About to Frame Nina?

GH has spent the entire month of September knee-deep in an attempted murder mystery. Who shot Drew Cain in a town full of people who wanted to see the Congressman dead? The list of potential suspects is varied and endless.

Willow Tait claims to have been in the process of reconciling with Drew before he was shot. No, she doesn’t love him, but she seems to think that his powerful reach may help her to get her children, Wylie and Amelia, back from her ex, Michael. The fact that Drew is precisely the reason why she lost her kids in the first place seems to have slipped Willow’s mind.

As the PCPD is actively sifting through potential suspects, it appears that Willow may be about to throw her mother under the bus. But did Nina shoot Drew?

Willow Didn’t Like Hearing the Truth From Nina

Finally, after months of gently trying to reason with Willow and trying to remain the one person solidly in her corner even after all of the bad decisions, Nina lost it. On the Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, episode of “General Hospital” Nina finally ripped her daughter apart for a full year of ignoring warnings and systematically destroying her own life. Fans cheered from their couches as Nina refused to allow Willow to shift any blame for her bad decisions.

Willow left her husband for Drew Cain, a manipulative liar who has controlled her since day one. She chose to believe every word he had spoon-fed her over the reality check that most of Port Charles had tried to give her. Nina is finished taking the blame for Willow’s poor judgment, and her daughter refuses to accept it. She continued to blame Nina for Michael having custody of her kids rather than taking a good, hard look in the mirror.

Is That a Threat or a Warning?

Before storming out of her mother’s home, Willow told Nina that she deserves to lose everything, too. It was said in a way that sounded ominous, like as if Willow knew exactly how to make that happen. And, she actually does. When Nina found out that her daughter took a walk on the night of Drew’s shooting, Nina quickly told the PCPD that she was with her, which was a lie.

Obviously, the GH surveillance footage will show that Willow was alone. If she goes to Chase and tells him that Nina wasn’t with her, and that she suspects her of shooting Drew, her mother could become the main suspect. Willow may think that she is blowing up her mother’s life out of spite, but could Nina really be the shooter?

What if Nina attached herself to Willow’s walk as an alibi for herself? Without her daughter and grandchildren in her life, Nina has already lost what matters most to her. Shooting Drew could have been a desperate move to try to get him away from Willow once and for all. Is Willow about to frame her mother?
