Keith Urban has had enough of fans reading too much into his lyric changes amid his divorce from Nicole Kidman.
During the final night of his “High and Alive Tour” on October 17, the former “American Idol” judge slammed fans who speculated a deeper meaning in the altered lines in his song “You’ll Think of Me.”
In a video uploaded on TikTok, Urban can be heard addressing the crowd ahead of his performance.
“I’ve been covering like this for a long time,” Urban told the audience. “Stop reading s**t into it.”
The country singer went on to sing the chorus, altering the original lyric, “Take your space and take your reasons” to “all your bulls**t reasons.”
When he sang the line, “You’ll think of me,” Urban adlibbed, “But I betcha think about me!”
Fans React to Keith Urban’s Latest Move
Many shared their thoughts about Urban, asking fans not to overanalyze his lyric changes. One fan commented, “I’ve been trying to tell people this. They’re obviously not fans or they would know.”
Another wrote, “People love to make a big deal out of nothing and spread rumors! Our world is geared that way.”
Someone added, “Been a fan of his since the late 1990s. What he said is 100% true. Leave him be.”

Previously, Urban raised eyebrows after tweaking the lyrics to his hit song “The Fighter,” which was originally inspired by his romance with Kidman.
During a recent concert, he changed the line “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter” to “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” giving a playful nod to his guitarist, Maggie Baugh.

Meanwhile, Urban’s newest reality show, “The Road,” premiered on Sunday, October 19. During its pilot episode, the singer performed “Straight Line,” which reflects on his desire to break free from a “soul-sucking routine.”
“‘Straight Line’ is wanting to break out of a soul-sucking routine that you might be stuck in: maybe in a relationship, a job, with creativity, with yourself…whatever it is,” Urban wrote back in 2024. “It’s a message of feeling alive again and getting out from under that dark cloud.”
While the episode was filmed prior to Kidman’s divorce filing, Urban admitted that he felt “lonely and miserable” while on the road.
