Zae Frederich Breaks Silence on Big Brother’s Rachel Reilly

โ€œBig Brother 27โ€ kicked off with chaos, a returning legend, and an early eviction that caught fans off guard. But Isaiah Zae Frederich says his Week 1 exit wasnโ€™t just about his headline-making clash with Rachel Reilly, and he thinks the drama may have backfired on her more than him.

Zae later acknowledged he waited too long to talk serious game, something he believes contributed to his downfall. While other Houseguests began forming tight alliances from the jump, he admitted that a stronger strategic push early in the week might have changed the outcome.

He also pointed to Rachelโ€™s overwhelming presence in the house as a factor, noting that several players seemed too intimidated to target her. Some even saw Zae as a safer alternative to evict, simply to avoid putting a target on themselves.

Zae Frederich Reveals Insight on Rachel Reilly Situation

After heading home, Zae told CinemaBlend the confrontation with Rachel Reilly may have actually hurt her image more than his. โ€œI think people started seeing how crazy she was in that moment,โ€ he said. โ€œAnyone who was there for the whole conversation was like, โ€˜Whoa, like what is she doing?โ€™โ€

Despite the blow-up, Zae doesnโ€™t believe the fight changed the outcome. โ€œIf I was on the block, I was going to go home.โ€ Still, he tried to use the drama strategically, hoping to sway undecided Houseguests who didnโ€™t want to confront Rachel themselves.

โ€œThere were a couple that were kind of in the middle,โ€ he said. โ€œI wanted to try and play that [Rachel drama] to see if I could even get a couple extra voters who want to see me take her down.โ€

Kelley Jorgensen and Rylie Jeffries Flipped the Vote

Zae pointed to Kelley Jorgensenโ€™s BB Blockbuster win as a key moment that shifted the week. He also said Rylie Jeffries flipped her vote out of a desire to work with Rachel, which left him with no shot. โ€œI was really, really fighting for those votes,โ€ Zae said. โ€œBut obviously didnโ€™t work out for me because Iโ€™m home.โ€

Since his eviction, Zae has already connected with past contestant Matt Hardeman โ€” another Week 1 casualty who clashed with an older Houseguest before being sent home. Whether Zaeโ€™s feud with Rachel continues outside the house or fades fast remains to be seen.

โ€œBig Brother 27โ€ airs weekly on CBS. The next episode is set to air on July 23.
