‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Teases Move to Charleston, But It’s Not What You Think

Ally Lewber recently confirmed that she’s eyeing a move to Charleston, South Carolina, but it’s not for a role on “Southern Charm” or “Southern Hospitality.”

During a Sept. 24 appearance on the “Disrespectfully” podcast, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum said she has not moved—yet—after spending time in Charleston over the summer. But she explained that after her car was stolen from the garage of her Hollywood apartment complex, coupled with a career setback, she is feeling “called” out of California.

“I have not moved,” Lewber told podcast hosts Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan, adding, “I think I’m moving. Honestly guys, I just have been feeling called, pushed, actually out of L.A.”

Ally Lewber’s Car Was Stolen From Her Apartment Building & Her Podcast Was Canceled

Lewber noted that she has been getting signs that it may be time to head East. “Two months ago, my car got stolen from my apartment complex,” she said. “Haven’t found it or anything like that.”

Lewber added that the apartment complex she lives in is very secure. “You have to get your DNA to get in,” she said of her secure building. “My friends hate going there because it’s literally so hard to get in there. “

Of her missing car, she said, “It was gated in the parking lot. I did leave my keys inside of it, but still, how did they get in the actual garage, and who took it?”

Lewber revealed that staffers at the complex reviewed security footage and claimed they didn’t see anyone take the car. “And so, then I’m like, I felt gaslit,” she said.

The astrologer explained that she feels that the universe is telling her she needs something more. The theft took place around the same time that her astrology podcast, ‘Starstruck With Ally Lewber,” was canceled due to the high costs of producing it. “It was just a lot to make, and I don’t think the numbers were there truthfully,” she admitted.

Lewber also questioned what was keeping her in L.A. at this point, so she spent time in Charleston with family and friends, “I’m highly considering [moving there],” she added. “I have family there, I have friends there. I don’t want people to think I hate L.A., it’s just I need to change. I’ve been feeling numb here, honestly.”

She noted that she can still do everything she does now if she moves to Charleston. “Plus [‘Southern Hospitality’ star] Leva [Bonaparte] has restaurants and bars,” Lewber added. “And so, when I was there, I would sing and play at her little restaurants, which was really fun.”

Ally Lewber Filmed for ‘Southern Hospitality’ But She’s Not Permanently Joining the Show

Lewber’s family lives in Charleston, SC, where “Southern Hospitality” is filmed.  She confirmed that she filmed a small scene for the show during her summertime visit. “I only filmed one group scene, so I wasn’t much involved with it,” she said of the Bravo spinoff.

She downplayed the possibility of fully joining the show and reiterated that she spent time with friends and worked while in Charleston.

In addition to Bonaparte, Lewber is friends with “Southern Hospitality” stars Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley. In an August 2025 Instagram post, Lewber confirmed that she spent time with her SC-badsed friends. “Came for Joe’s birthday, staying for Maddi’s,” she captioned a pair of photos with Reese.

She’s also friends with former “Southern Charm” star Olivia Flowers, as seen on Instagram.

While she downplayed her reality TV future, a source told OK magazine that Lewber hopes to secure a bigger role on the “Southern Charm”spinoff series, which follows the employees of Bonaparte’s Republic Garden & Lounge.

“Ally has filmed for the show,” the insider told the outlet in August. “She’s definitely trying to be featured on the show. She doesn’t have a role in the show. She won’t be a cast member.  …Her family lives in Charleston, but she wants the limelight and to be a reality star so badly.”

“Southern Hospitality” Season 4 stars Reese, Bradley, Bonaparte, Bradley Carter, Emmy Shartrett, T.J. Dinch, Grace Lilly, Michols Pena, Mia Alario, and Molly Moore.
