Paige DeSorbo revealed that she should have ended her relationship with Craig Conover more than a year before she went through with the breakup.
In an April 2025 interview with Vulture, the ”Summer House” star claimed there were “multiple times” in the three-year relationship that she gave Conover “so much grace.”
“Should I have broken up with him a year and a half ago when I saw him texting hearts to a girl? Probably,” DeSorbo admitted, noting that she stayed with the “Southern Charm” star because she loved him.
“Honestly, I don’t know if it was platonic or anything more,” DeSorbo added of Conover’s alleged texts.
In an interview with Glamour. Desorbo revealed why she didn’t end her relationship with Conover sooner. “It was truly the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she said in April 2025. “I’ve been getting a lot of flak with people saying, ‘Oh, Paige should have ended her relationship earlier.’ But I was living through it. I was going through feelings in real time, and I’m sure, subconsciously, what was keeping me from doing it was knowing that no matter what, in a breakup, the girl is going to get torn apart. I knew that going into it. So yeah, I was nervous.”
Craig Conover Denied Being Unfaithful to Paige DeSorbo
Conover has said he was “blindsided” by DeSorbo’s decision to break up with him last November. When “Summer House” cameras picked up last fall to document the aftermath of the split, DeSorbo alleged that Conover texted other women when they were still a couple.
“I caught [Craig] texting two [expletive] in the course of our relationship,” she claimed to co-stars Lindsay Hubbard and Amanda Batula in the pickup scene.
Conover appeared on the “Tamron Hall Show” and explained that DeSorbo was hit with “backlash” after their breakup and filmed the scene later. “That wasn’t part of our breakup. That was filmed later on,” he told Hall, adding, “I think it was a retaliatory scene.”
Conover also reiterated that he was very “loyal” to DeSorbo and added, “So I’ve never cheated.”

DeSorbo’s unhappiness over her relationship was apparent during “Summer House” filming last July and August.
In the Season 9 episode “Flirting With Disaster,” DeSorbo admitted that she felt “guilty” that she wasn’t happy in with her life. “I wished for everything I have. I’ve literally manifested the apartment I live in, manifested having a boyfriend who’s obsessed with me, I love my career. So, then, why am I the most anxious I’ve ever been in my entire life when I have everything I want?” she said in a confessional.
She also opened up to co-star Ciara Miller about her doubts about her relationship with Conover. “I get nervous that me and Craig are gonna break up, and it’s gonna be, like, ‘Oh, he’s so much better off without her…. She deserves what she gets,’” she admitted. “I get nervous [that] everything I have will, like, go away.”
DeSorbo finally ended things with Conover months later, after hitting the road for her “Giggly Squad” tour. In an interview with The New York Times, she said, “I’m proud of myself for making a tough decision even though the public was like, ‘You’re wrong, you’ll never find another person again,’ I am really thankful for the women that supported me and saw what I was going through.”
