Season 2 “Dancing with the Stars” champ Drew Lachey and his wife, Lea Lachey, teamed up to create a new musical called “label•less.” In a recent interview, the 98 Degrees member opened up about how the new venture has changed his life.
“Of all the things that have happened in my career, none have impacted my life as much as label•less,” Lachey told People magazine. “Being able to tell these stories of love, triumph and resilience has changed me and my world, and I believe deeply that it will change the worlds of all those who come and see it,” he continued.
“label•less” will make its Off-Broadway debut in March, with a limited run at Theatre Row.
“It has never been easier to connect with others yet our world has never been more divided. The struggle to understand and accept people that do not look the same, sound the same, think the same has never been more real. ‘label•less’ is the perfect vehicle to start the difficult conversations that need to be had,” reads a description of the show on the official “label•less” website.
“Whether discussing race, sexuality or mental health, ‘label•less’ brings attention to topics in a way that everyone can understand and relate to. Encouraging everyone to ‘Walk’ a mile in someone else’s shoes. Using popular music, dance and personal stories, this talented cast draws attention to the struggles facing us while offering hope for a better, more accepting tomorrow. On February 5, Drew Lachey took to Instagram to encourage his fans to get tickets to see “label•less.”
“label•less is back out on the road this spring! We’re so excited to bring you this show again! Follow us over at @labellessmusical for all updates and exclusive BTS content,” Lachey captioned the post.
The comments section quickly filled with fans talking about the new musical.
“I have seen this show and brought others to see it. Truly a must see for everyone. So much talent and very moving,” one person wrote.

Lea Lachey Hopes ‘label•less’ Will Have a Ripple Effect
Back in November 2024, Lea Lachey shared her hopes when it comes to the “label•less” musical.
“If I have my way with label•less, and everything is to work out, right? And it’s world domination, I like to think that there is a beautiful ripple effect that not only within our cast, but the people that see the show can go out and create some change,” she said in an Instagram video.
“I think that’s a beautiful thing, right? That people are going to open their hearts and their minds and change the world,” she added.
While chatting with People magazine, Lea Lachey noted that working on this show has also changed her life.
“Our amazing creative team and talented cast are some of the bravest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My hope is that audiences leave the theater moved and open to embracing people for who they truly are,” she said.
