Season 20 “Dancing With the Stars” champ Rumer Willis is hoping to have another baby! During a Q&A on her Instagram Stories in December 2024, Willis opened up a bit about giving her daughter, Louetta, a brother or sister.
“Do you want your child to grow up with siblings?” one fan asked.
“Yes, absolutely,” Willis responded. “Hoping to give her one this year,” she added.
Another fan asked Willis if she was single, to which she replied, “yes, very.”
Then, someone asked Willis if she was thinking of getting a sperm donor to have another baby. However, the actress isn’t entirely sure how she’s going to go about having another baby.
“Not quite sure. I am opening myself up to a wide variety of options, but ideally with a partner,” she explained.
Willis did say that she will share more details later.
Rumer Willis Split From Derek Richard Thomas in 2024
Willis was dating Derek Richard Thomas, whom she started seeing in 2022. They welcomed a daughter named Louetta on April 18, 2023, but she has since confirmed that the two had split.
During another Q&A on her Instagram Stories in August 2024, a fan asked Willis if she and Thomas were still together.
“Nope. I am single momming it and coparenting,” she responded. “I’m so grateful for Lou She is the best thing in my life and I’m forever grateful 1 was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life,” she added.
In an interview with Yahoo!, Willis discussed the challenges of co-parenting.
“Co-parenting is different,” Willis told Yahoo! Lifestyle in late 2024. She said that she found it “easier to make breakfast or run out to the grocery store” while in a relationship, but now, she’s on her own. “You don’t realize how helpful it is to have another pair of hands until you don’t have them,” she explained.
Rumer Willis Has Set Priorities for the New Year
In addition to wanting to have another baby, Willis has also shared some of her personal plans for the new year.
“As this year comes to an end my goal is to truly let go of things that have not been serving me. Ideas, patterns, thoughts, attachment cycles, people,” she captioned an Instagram post on December 6.
“My sisters and I talk a lot about knowing that right before a huge moment of growth and change, It always feels the most challenging. And gauging by the intensity of the past couple weeks, I’m hoping that my mind will absolutely be blown for what is on the other side,” she added.
