Lauren Graham to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Lauren Graham is getting a big moment: sheโ€™s being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The dedication is set for October 3, 2025. Sheโ€™ll be recognized in the Television category, according to the release.

Graham is best known of course, for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on โ€œGilmore Girls.โ€

Beyond that, her resume includes โ€œParenthoodโ€ and various film appearances. Sheโ€™s also a novelist and has published several works.

The Walk of Fame ceremony will have Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of “Gilmore Girls,” as one of the guest speakers. Emcee will be Sam Pancake.

The release expressed how excited everyone was for the upcoming event.

โ€œThe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Lauren Graham to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,โ€ Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said.

โ€œHer charm, wit, and talent have made her an icon for audiences worldwide, and her role on Gilmore Girls has left an indelible mark on television history,โ€ Martinez continued. โ€œWe are proud to celebrate her incredible contributions to the entertainment industry.โ€

Fans React

Reaction among fans and media has been largely that this honor is long overdue.

On social platform, one fan wrote, “Donโ€™t know how come it took this long for her to get a star on the walk of fame, she shouldโ€™ve received this decades ago!”

Another added, “She is a comedic genius! Well deserved! Congratulations!”

The announcement has sparked โ€œGilmore Girlsโ€ marathons and renewed discussion of how beloved Lorelai and the series still are.

For Graham, this adds another formal recognition to her career.

This also complements a wave of nostalgia around “Gilmore Girls” as its 25th anniversary nears.

Between reunions, merch, streaming revivals, and now this kind of institutional recognition, the showโ€™s influence continues to ripple.

Graham Teased a Possible Reunion

Fans of โ€œGilmore Girlsโ€ may have reason to hope for a new holiday-special soon: Lauren Graham is openly on board with the idea of the cast reuniting for a โ€œGilmore Girlsโ€ Christmas movie.

During the 2025 Emmy Awards โ€” where she and Alexis Bledel presented together as Lorelai and Rory for the first time since 2016 โ€” Graham told The Hollywood Reporter that a Christmas feature could make sense.

When asked on the Emmys red carpet whether sheโ€™d be open to a โ€œGilmore Girlsโ€ reboot, Graham stated, โ€œI thought we were done with that conversation, and I have realized we are not.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ve been saying for a long time what I could see making sense is a Christmas movie in the tradition of โ€˜Downton Abbeyโ€™ or those other kinds of, you know, shows that are over but then kind of come together,โ€ she continued. โ€œEspecially around the holidays, I think that would be very โ€˜Gilmoreโ€™ friendly.โ€
