Lauren Graham is getting a big moment: sheโs being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The dedication is set for October 3, 2025. Sheโll be recognized in the Television category, according to the release.
Graham is best known of course, for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on โGilmore Girls.โ
Beyond that, her resume includes โParenthoodโ and various film appearances. Sheโs also a novelist and has published several works.
The Walk of Fame ceremony will have Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of “Gilmore Girls,” as one of the guest speakers. Emcee will be Sam Pancake.
The release expressed how excited everyone was for the upcoming event.
โThe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Lauren Graham to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,โ Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said.
โHer charm, wit, and talent have made her an icon for audiences worldwide, and her role on Gilmore Girls has left an indelible mark on television history,โ Martinez continued. โWe are proud to celebrate her incredible contributions to the entertainment industry.โ
Fans React
Reaction among fans and media has been largely that this honor is long overdue.
On social platform, one fan wrote, “Donโt know how come it took this long for her to get a star on the walk of fame, she shouldโve received this decades ago!”
Another added, “She is a comedic genius! Well deserved! Congratulations!”
The announcement has sparked โGilmore Girlsโ marathons and renewed discussion of how beloved Lorelai and the series still are.
For Graham, this adds another formal recognition to her career.
This also complements a wave of nostalgia around “Gilmore Girls” as its 25th anniversary nears.
Between reunions, merch, streaming revivals, and now this kind of institutional recognition, the showโs influence continues to ripple.
Graham Teased a Possible Reunion
Fans of โGilmore Girlsโ may have reason to hope for a new holiday-special soon: Lauren Graham is openly on board with the idea of the cast reuniting for a โGilmore Girlsโ Christmas movie.
During the 2025 Emmy Awards โ where she and Alexis Bledel presented together as Lorelai and Rory for the first time since 2016 โ Graham told The Hollywood Reporter that a Christmas feature could make sense.
When asked on the Emmys red carpet whether sheโd be open to a โGilmore Girlsโ reboot, Graham stated, โI thought we were done with that conversation, and I have realized we are not.โ
โIโve been saying for a long time what I could see making sense is a Christmas movie in the tradition of โDownton Abbeyโ or those other kinds of, you know, shows that are over but then kind of come together,โ she continued. โEspecially around the holidays, I think that would be very โGilmoreโ friendly.โ
