Longtime vegetarian Heather Rae El Moussa is making her commitment to fight animal cruelty a family affair.
The “Flipping El Moussas” star recently enlisted the help of her 2-year-old son Tristan in her latest PETA campaign.
In an Instagram post showing behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot, Heather keeps Tristan close by while watching playbacks of the video footage, then plays with cars with her son during downtime.
In the post, she writes, “Tristan stole the show. So honored to be asked to do this @peta campaign with my little man, we had so much fun today! 🥹💕”
Peta commented on the post, writing, “Love this 🥰 We had the most magical time with you and sweet Tristan 💚 Thank you for joining us for a fun day of helping animals! We can’t wait for everyone to see what we are working on 🙌”
Heather Rae El Moussa Has Long-Standing Relationship with PETA
Heather’s relationship with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) goes way back.
In a post leading up to her wedding to Tarek El Moussa in 2021, Heather posted a video on Instagram where she wrote, “Fun fact about me is that I’ve actually been vegan since I was 22 years old and never looked back since. Eating plant based is a choice I made a while ago because it honestly makes me feel so much healthier and it’s something that’s really worked for me plus I care about animals so it all aligns. 🤍 Came across this article from PETA (swipe 👉🏻) and I’m honored to be included in their list of most beautiful vegan stars! This is something that’s a personal choice and something that I can do to help the environment in even the smallest way.”
Even Heather’s Bridal Shower Celebrated Animals
Heather’s bridal shower was even a vegan affair, thrown at Kindred Spirits Care Farm.
In an Instagram post about the shower, Heather wrote, “Today was a special day. Today we celebrated my bridal shower amongst the animals and unveiled my @peta campaign: Say “I do” to vegan 🤍
If you know me, you know I’m a huge animal lover. You might also know that I’ve been vegan for 11 years now and while I don’t believe in pushing a lifestyle on others, I do believe in doing what you can for the animals and the environment.
I felt so at home today at the @kindredspiritscarefarm – all of the animals there have been rescued and given a second chance at life and it melted my heart to see how happy they were and how much personality all of them had. I got a big kiss from Ted the goat (sorry @therealtarekelmoussa for cheating on you 😜), I got to belly rub on a pig, and I got to feed an alpaca !!
Being vegan doesn’t just make me feel better health wise, it also makes me so happy knowing that I am doing what I can to protect the animals and to help the environment. Even making little changes here and there counts so keep that in mind and CHEERS to a beautiful bridal shower with all my friends, family, + animal friends, too ☺️🐷🐐🦙🤍”
Fans Love that Heather Included Tristan in the Shoot
Fans and followers of her Instagram account were delighted that Heather included her young son in her work for PETA.
Under the post about the PETA shoot with Tristan, one commented, “Oh yay! 😃 so much fun for the both of you to be together and enjoying every moment! Nice job! It’s not easy being a mom! But the reward is worth it! 🥰”
Another wrote, “Thank you for lending your voice to such an important cause. It’s beautiful and powerful to see you standing up for animals — and even more inspiring to see you doing it with your little boy.
