‘Fantastic’ Chemistry Ensures Must-Watch Collaboration for Hoda Kotb, Joanna Gaines

Still no word yet on what the collaboration between Joanna Gaines and Hoda Kotb is going to involve, but indications point to something of the must-watch variety.

A report by Closer Weekly hoping to provide an update on the as-yet unknown project involving the retired “Today” anchor and the “Fixer Upper” star cited an unnamed source stating that all details are “being kept a huge secret.” However, one important point the source could make about the duo is that, “their onscreen chemistry is fantastic.”

Closer Weekly in an earlier report noted that Kotb, after leaving her long-time spot on NBC’s morning program in January, was in search of her next project. It referenced a series of pics that Kotb posted to Instagram on February 5 of her and Gaines enjoying each other’s company, including one of a warm embrace, captioned, “We have something fun cooking! Come along on the great adventure…..Stay tunedI love @joannagaines”

Additionally, Closer Weekly reported that Kotb in recent years had become interested in pursuing something in the wellness space. The article amplified Kotb’s appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” when she announced that she was starting a wellness app, hopefully launching in the spring, that will include retreats, a podcast, and other features.

“I started doing stuff that I thought seemed woo-woo and weird, and then all of a sudden, as I was doing it, I was like, ‘Wait, I feel calmer, I feel better,’” Kotb said to Clarkson. “Woo-woo makes you feel good!”

In the meantime, Gaines is remaining busy. On February 20, she posted on Instagram that the spring issue of Magnolia Journal would be available the next day.

“The table is set 🍽️ We’re ready for you spring!” Gaines wrote. “We filled our first issue of the year with light and fresh recipes for brunch, tips for growing your own herb garden, and some beautiful design stories that showcase how to preserve what matters most.”

Followers were overjoyed, with one stating, “Can’t wait for this to drop through my front door and bring some light to this bleak and gloomy weather we’ve been blanketed by!”

But Gaines also showed she knows how to relax in a February 16 post that featured a photo of Gaines in ultra comfortable mode.

“Slides, socks, and sweats. My kinda Sunday 😉” she wrote.

Fans appreciated getting a look at Gaines taking a break, with one writing, “Joanna you are so down to earth. Love seeing you all comfy in that beautiful chair. That room is lovely with the grand windows. Take care.”
