Jasmine Roth is taking a trip down memory lane, recalling how one email changed everything for her. See how she got her start on HGTV with one message that got the ball rolling.
Jasmine Roth’s HGTV Journey Started With an Email
On November 11, the “Help! I Wrecked My House” star took to Instagram to provide a refresher for anyone not familiar with her story.
“If you’re new here or don’t know my story … let me tell you how one email changed my life forever. And how a show on HGTV became my reality,” she explained.
Roth shared how she first became interested in home construction and, after posting about her projects online, a producer reached out about working on a TV show.
She almost didn’t see the email.
“Then on 11/10/15 I got the email that changed everything!” she wrote. “I almost deleted it because I thought it was spam.”
Roth responded to the email and filmed a “sizzle” in 2016. “I threw everything I had into what I knew was the opportunity of a lifetime,” the HGTV star noted.
In October 2016, she filmed a pilot episode for the network.
“I was living a dream that I’d never imagined,” she shared. “I worked so hard to make sure that if this one episode was all the world ever saw, it would be something I was forever proud of.”
Roth continued, “I called in all my favors, worked around the clock, and left no stone unturned. It’s still one of my favorite projects even all these years later.”
In 2017, the series “Hidden Potential” was picked up by HGTV for a full season and premiered in 2018. The show was renewed for a second season, and Roth had new opportunities, including filming the series “A Very Brady Renovation” and appearing on the “Today” show.
Roth Hopes Her Journey Is Inspiring
Roth also gave fans a look at some of her career highlights, such as appearing on “Good Morning America,” competing on “Rock the Block,” and guest-hosting “Extreme Makeover Home Addition.”
She went on to star on “Help! I Wrecked My House” and wrote a book called “House Story.”
She’s also been on “Brother vs. Brother,” “Design Star,” “Home Town Takeover,” “Hometown Kickstart,” and “Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.”
In Part 4 of her story, Roth noted how everything she’s done all started with that life-changing email.
“I love sharing my story because it’s been a wild ride and so much more than I ever could have dreamed of,” she shared. “I hope it inspires you to show up, give it your all, and always answer your emails!”
