Khloe Kardashian Plots Her Next Career Move

Khloe Kardashian is reportedly plotting her next career move, and she’s looking at Kelly Clarkson and Drew Barrymore for inspiration.

According to geo.tv, sources close to the reality tv star say she wants to use her Khloe in Wonderland podcast as a launchpad to possibly host her own talk show. The article quotes the source saying, “And Khloé does see more room in that space, especially for an edgier, naughtier kind of program that speaks directly to the audience of young mothers who grew up with Khloé and her reality shows.”

While Khloe certainly isn’t hurting for cash, her bottom line is far below the earnings of some of her sisters and her mom.

An article in Cosmopolitan ranks Khloe as tied for 5th with sister Kendall Jenner as far as net worth. Both sisters are said to be worth about $60 million each, while top earner Kim Kardashian’s net worth is nearly 30 times that amount at $1.7 billion.

In addition to her podcast, 40-year-old Khloé followed in Kim’s footsteps creating a fashion brand, Good American. The company—which Khloé co-founded with Emma Grede in 2016—reportedly made $1 million on its first day in business according to “Fashionista.” It has steadily grown in popularity ever since. Khloe has also partnered with Fabletics and dropped a new fragrance, XO Khloé, last year.

Sources Say Khloe Has Been Diligently Working on Podcasting Skills

According to InTouch, Khloe is turning her focus more and more to parlaying her podcast in carving out a new niche in the entertainment industry for herself.

A source tells the magazine, “Khloé isn’t just being a tourist in the podcasting and interviewing space, she’s wanted this for a while and slowly worked up to it, even shooting test interviews that have never aired anywhere in order to refine her interviewing skills,” the source explains. “But underneath all of her prep, there’s a pretty clear restlessness about the reality franchise, and that’s a big reason why The Kardashians is not getting multi-year renewals anymore.” 

In fact, those close to Khloe say she is weighing how much longer she wants to be a part of the family’s Hulu reality series The Kardashians.

“Khloé, in particular, is deciding season-by-season if she wants to continue and her hope is to get some kind of brand expansion of her podcast going in the meantime,” the source adds. 

And evidently, she wants to do it all on her own. “If you think she can’t do this without Kris pulling all the strings, think again, because Khloé’s podcast is very much her own creation, and not some scheme that Kris pitched her,” the source says. “It does well, but Khloé wants to turn it into something a lot bigger, and she’s not blowing smoke – she’s totally serious about this being the next evolution of her on-camera persona, which is still very likable and relevant even after all these years.”
