Jessica Simpson leaves little to the imagination at the 2025 MTV VMAs. The 45-year-old singer turned heads with her bold ensemble after almost 20 years of hiatus at the iconic music event.
Simpson hit the red carpet and posed for the cameras at New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday. For the event, the “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” hitmaker opted for a skin-baring, $7,900 sheer dress by Christian Siriano, Page Six reported.
Simpson’s gown features black underwires accentuating her bust and waist. The off-the-shoulder sleeves and crisscrossing strips of black tulle add a delicate and dramatic effect.
She topped the look with a chic updo and glamorous makeup. Simpson also accessorized with matching dangling earrings and rings.

This year, the “Take My Breath Away” singer presented the Latin Icon award to Ricky Martin. The two worked together in the past, with Simpson opening for Martin on his 1999 “Livin’ la Vida Loca” tour.
Speaking with Access Hollywood, Simpson opened up about her return to the awards show. “It’s so great to be surrounded by musicians [and] entertainers,” she said. “I haven’t been in this world in a really long time, so I kind of feel like a little bit of an outsider.”
Also present at the 2025 VMAs was Ashlee Simpson, who recently kicked off her Las Vegas residency.
