Kesha decided to cancel her concert at Dallasโ Dos Equis Pavilion on July 8 after the deadly flash floods.
โI wanted to say thank you for coming out to support an independent artist. I have been so excited for tonight and to celebrate my freedom and go tits out with all of you, but due to the weather and what yall here in Texas have been facing, I have to put your safety first,โ Kesha posted on her social media pages. โMy heart is with you Texas. Iโm so sorry that I canโt play this show tonight because of the weather and for all of your safety.โ
However, she made it clear that she wasn’t giving up hope that she could perform for everyone. She rescheduled the show for the following day, on July 9.
โIโm going to stay here in your beautiful city and come back here tomorrow and would love to play for all of you tomorrow night,โ she continued. โAll of your tickets will be honored and Iโm so sorry. Get home safe, letโs party tomorrow.โ
According to CNN, at least 150 people are still known to be missing from the floods, with 119 confirmed dead.

Country Singer Pat Green Suffered ‘Deeply Personal Loss’ in Texas Floods
Singer Pat Green shared on his Instagram that his brother, sister-in-law, and two of their children were caught in the floods.
โOver the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family โ like so many others โ suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss,โ Green wrote. โWe are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy. Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family.
“Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.โ
Green’s wife also shared his statement on her Instagram page, but added an additional message (per Rolling Stone).
โWe are so thankful for the outpouring of love and concern. Patโs little brother John, his wife, Julia, and two of their children were swept away in the Kerrville flood. We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found. Thank you for your prayers,โ she wrote
