UPDATE: Ace Frehley has tragically passed away at 74.

Ace Frehley, who was one of the original members of the rock band KISS, has been hospitalized and is on life support after suffering a brain bleed, TMZ reports.

The bleed was caused by a fall Frehley took in his studio a few weeks back.

“We’re told he’s been on a ventilator for some time, and hasn’t gotten better — so, his family is considering turning off support … perhaps as soon as Thursday evening,” TMZ adds.

While there have been some social media posts saying he’s already passed, the outlet reports that as of Thursday afternoon, he was still on the ventilator.

Ace Frehley Recently Forced To Cancel Tour Due To Medical Issues

Frehley announced on Monday, Oct. 6, that he had to cancel the remaining dates of his tour due to โ€œongoing medical issues.โ€

โ€œDue to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,โ€ Frehley said in the Instagram post.

This comes after Frehley posted a message to fans on Sept. 25, revealing that he โ€œhad a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital.โ€

โ€œHe is fine, but against his wishes, his doctors insist that he refrain from travel at this time,โ€ the statement continued.

Fellow KISS Rocker Gene Simmons Was Also Recently Hospitalized

On Tuesday, October 7, KISS rocker Gene Simmons was hospitalized after he was involved in a car crash, but provided fans with a positive update shortly after.

โ€œThanks, everybody, for the kind wishes. Iโ€™m completely fine. I had a slight fender bender. It happens,โ€ Simmons posted on X on Wednesday, Oct. 8. โ€œEspecially to those of us were horrible drivers. And thatโ€™s me. All is well.โ€

Simmonsโ€™ Lincoln Navigator hit a parked car, NBC4 Los Angeles reported. Witnesses called 911, and he was โ€œspeaking with first responders, authorities said. He told deputies he passed out or fainted, then hit the parked car.

A spokesperson for the Lost Hills Sheriffโ€™s Station confirmed to PEOPLE that the driver, who was Simmons, โ€œwas transported to the hospital by LA County Fire for further treatment.โ€

Simmons’ wife also provided an update after the accident, speaking with  NBC4 Los Angeles, where she said that he is at home recovering and the doctors recently changed his medication, noting that he needs to drink more water. She also said that his car went across a few lanes of traffic.
