Miley Cyrus won’t be venturing out into the beauty industry and she told fans why.
“My stepdad asked me the other day, ‘Why are you the only one without a makeup line?’ I was like, ‘Cause that’s not my passion.’ He goes, ‘That’s the right answer,’” Miley said during an interview on NYT’s “The Interview” podcast. “And it made so much sense. It’s like, ‘I don’t have a makeup line because I’m not a makeup artist.’”
“Some people operate differently, you know?” Cyrus continued “Dolly [Parton] always says ‘You do you and I’ll do me, and together we’ll be us.’ This woman cupcakes, Dollywood, amusement parks, all the things. I’ve never felt like that was really for me. And I’ve always admired that she can and wants—it’s like a deep passion of hers. She absolutely adores it.”
Cyrus went on to share her version of this is buying a piano, “writing songs, telling my stories and then creating a gorgeous visual in support of that. That’s what I love to do.”
Cyrus will not be joining the list of singers, such as Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande, who have ventured into the beauty world. As she shared with her stepdad, it’s not her passion.

Cyrus’ released her latest album, “Something Beautiful”, on May 30.
The 13-track album has fans falling in love with the artist’s music all over again.
The official music video for track six from the album, “Easy Lover”, premiered on May 30. Cyrus shared the news with fans on Instagram.
