Jenna Bush Hager May Have Named New ‘Today Show’ Co-Host in Off-Air Dance Moment

The search for a new co-host for Jenna Bush Hager on โ€œToday Showโ€ has been ongoing since January, and she may have just given an impromptu reveal of who her permanent co-host just might be.

Following Hoda Kotbโ€™s departure in January, the talk show has been featuring a rotating line-up of potential co-hosts for Hager. However, the co-host of the fourth hour of the morning show possibly hinted at the final pick while former NBA player Dwyane Wade was co-hosting the week of July 7.

The Possible Reveal?

The actual moment was captured during a fun off-air moment that just happened to be shared on Instagram. Hager and Wade were dancing and having some fun to his favorite song, โ€œLose Yourselfโ€ by Eminem.

While dancing, Wade joked that the song was his โ€œwalk-out song,โ€ to which Hager responded, โ€œWeโ€™ll do it in the fall!โ€

That is by no means a confirmation that Wade will be the permanent co-host on the fourth hour of โ€œToday.โ€ While Wade has been a longtime fan of the song โ€” he told Time in 2006 that it โ€œgets your mind rightโ€ โ€” it still got fans of the show speculating on social media about what Hagerโ€™s comment meant.

One person said, โ€œThese are your new cohosts for this hour on NBC,โ€ while another commented, โ€œJust hire him already.โ€

The fans kept showing their support in the comments, with another adding, โ€œHe needs to be the new cohost for Jenna!โ€ and one fan saying, โ€œI love you two, yโ€™all are the best morning show hosts ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ.โ€

Other Possible Co-Hosts

While there was a lot of love for Wade being the new permanent co-host, another commenter wanted the show to go in a different direction, saying: โ€œHeโ€™s an amazing guy but I think Justin Sylvester is the one for this job! โค๏ธโ€

NBC has not confirmed any possible permanent co-host for Hager, but fans have definitely voiced their opinions online. While Sylvester has gotten a lot of praise during his time as guest co-host, others have also risen to the top. This includes actor/podcast host Matt Rogers, Scarlett Johansson, Michelle Buteau, fellow โ€œTodayโ€ anchor Savannah Guthrie, comedian Heather McMahan, and Andy Cohen.

The show also featured a Family Week theme, where Hager was joined by members of her family serving as co-hosts, including her twin sister Barbara Bush, husband Henry Hager, and cousins Wendy Stapleton and Sam Bush LeBlond.
