What to Expect at the Dun Dun Diner

NBCUniversal describes the diner as “a limited-run, diner-inspired experience that will immerse fans in the universe of the iconic franchise.” The design is modeled after a classic New York City hangout, complete with nods to detectives and squad room camaraderie.

Fans will enjoy classic diner dishes prepared in partnership with Milk Bar, exclusive squad merchandise, and interactive displays highlighting memorable “Law & Order” cases, guest stars, and heroes across decades.

NBCUniversal is promising attendees “a limited-run, diner-inspired experience that will immerse fans in the universe of the iconic franchise,” Variety reports.

“This new experience, modeled after the quintessential NYC hangout for hard-working detectives, lets fans step inside and feel like part of the Elite Squad,” the press release by NBC for the event explains.

“The multi-day event will give fans the chance to indulge in diner favorite dishes, snag limited-edition squad merchandise, and surround themselves within interactive moments and imagery that call back to Law & Order‘s heroes, guest stars, and decades worth of cases, leads and clues.”

Timed With Season Premieres

The pop-up arrives just days after the Thursday, September 25 premieres of “Law & Order” Season 25 and “Law & Order: SVU” Season 27 on NBC. Both shows will also stream the next day on Peacock.

The diner serves as both a tribute to the show’s long history and a celebration of its next chapter, giving longtime fans and new viewers a chance to gather in the heart of New York, where the series is set.

A Star-Studded Anniversary Celebration

The milestone was also recognized at the 77th Emmy Awards, where Ice-T, Tony Goldwyn, and S. Epatha Merkerson joined fellow cast members to present Best Drama Series. Their appearance underlined the enduring impact of the franchise, which continues to evolve while honoring its roots.
