Ultimate fans of โSurvivorโ arenโt just excited for the 48th season; they are also eager to follow along in podcast form.
The official โSurvivorโ podcast, โOn Fire with Jeff Probst,โ is back for its fifth season with — of course — Jeff Probst at the helm.
The podcast exists as a way for fans to dive even deeper than ever when it comes to fandom in the long running reality competition series. Each episode dissects the biggest moments of the latest episode of โSurvivor.โ
With Help From โSurvivorโ Family
The podcast also features producer and super fan Jay Wolff alongside โSurvivor 47โ winner Rachel LaMont. Each season of โOn Fireโ includes a star player from the previous season of the CBS show. LaMont, if viewers recall, tied the record for most individual immunity wins.
Previous seasons of the podcast featured Rick Devens and Dee Valladares. Charlie Davis, โSurvivor 46โ runner up, has also been on.
LaMont – who applied for six years before becoming an alternate and then ultimately winning her season – gives advice to potential โSurvivorโ applicants during the first episode titled โYouโve Been Marooned.โย
โI think that as far as I would always send in my tape and I would hear this advice and it would be like, just be yourself,โ she begins. โLike my first few videos, they were scripted, I had them memorized. It was like reciting a checklist of things about myself. Like, don’t ever do that. That’s just a bad idea.โ
Fans can Interact with the Podcast
โOn Fireโ initially started in March 2023 with โSurvivor 44.โ September 2024โs โSurvivor 47โ saw the show make the leap to YouTube – complete with live chat capabilities and an audio visualizer.
During the first episode, Probst was quick to delve out tips to โSurvivorโ hopefuls. He notes that if viewers do not hear back from the show, try not to take it as a negative. He and his team look at every single audition.
โAnd the questions we’re looking for is, are you ready for โSurvivorโ and is โSurvivorโ ready for you? Because sometimes somebody’s great,โ Probst indicated. โThey just don’t quite fit in that season.โ
Those who move forward in the process are able to set up a casual FaceTime with Probst and other producers to chat.
