Anitta set the record straight on her relationship with Mauricio Umansky nearly two years after his separation from Kyle Richards, his wife of 29 years.
During a March 13 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the 31-year-old Brazilian singer, whose real name is Larissa de Macedo Machado, was immediately asked about online photos of her “partying” with the “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s estranged husband in Aspen in December 2023.
“I knew this was coming,” Anitta replied to Bravo host Andy Cohen. “I realized this was coming like five minutes ago. Because if I realized that before, I would have called him and say, ‘What do I say?’”
Anitta continued, “He’s a great person. I love Mauricio. I met him in Aspen that day. No, like one day before that craziness, and I was skiing down in towels with my friend Lele Pons. Because Lele is crazy, and I just say yes to the craziness. And Mauricio was the video maker.”
Cohen asked Anitta if she is still in touch with Umansky. “We always talk, we became very good friends,” the “Envolver” singer replied. “No, we became good friends,” she added.
After Cohen pointed out that Umansky is single and asked if anything “romantic” happened, Anitta hesitated and then said, “No.” When asked if she’s dating anyone, she coyly replied, “I don’t know.”
Umansky has been separated from Richards since July 2023. The exes share four daughters.
Mauricio Umansky Had a Wild Day With Anitta & Pal Lele Pons
In December 2023, Umansky, 54, was photographed with Anitta and Lele Pons in Aspen. Umansky knew Pons from their time as contestants on “Dancing with the Stars” a few months earlier.
In a post to his Instagram stories at the time, Umansky and the two women were seen at the top of a ski slope. “I’ve officially been asked to be the filmer, the videographer, for these two girls’ shenanigans,” he said. “We’re celebrating Top 50, number 36,” he added of Anitta’s music.
A giggly Anitta then said, “We are the funniest girls in the world. We know how to enjoy life, we know how to have a good time!”
Pons later posted an Instagram video of her and Anitta sailing down the ski slope wearing white towels and holding bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne. “Skiing with your bestiee like…?⛷️,” she wrote, before crediting Umansky as the “filmer.”
Anitta also shared footage on her Instagram story of her cozied up next to The Agency founder on the ski slopes. Umansky later posted to his Instagram story from a ski lodge alongside Anitta, who sprayed champagne all over him as they danced and celebrated the birthday of DJ Pedro Sampaio. The father of four was shirtless in the clip.
Amid Umansky’s Aspen antics, his estranged wife Richards replied “no” when asked if he was romantically involved with Anitta. “That’s not true,” Richards told The Daily Mail in December 2023. But she also clarified that due to their separation, her husband was “allowed to do what he wants.”

The 14th season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” showed Richards much more upset over tabloid photos of Umansky kissing actress Nikita Kahn at the Mykonos airport in Greece last summer.
In the RHOBH episode “Trouble in Paradise,” Umansky apologized for the photos. “You know that I would never want to do anything on purpose that would hurt you or the kids,” he told Richards. “I really am sorry for hurting you. I would never want to hurt you on purpose.”
Just as the episodes aired on Bravo, TMZ posted photos of Umansky at the West Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont chatting it up with two mystery ladies.
