Fans Rally Around Denise Richards After Star Reveals Black Eye

Court documents revealed that Denise Richards has been granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her estranged husband and fans are rallying around her with support.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, an image of Richards with a black eye is show, having “cited July 4-14 as the date of the most recent alleged assault.”

PEOPLE reports, “Richards also claimed that Phypers ‘threatened that I would ‘disappear’ if I called the police.’ She said he ‘repeatedly abused’ her throughout their marriage. The former couple tied the knot in 2018. 

In recent weeks, both fans and former co-stars have shown their love and support for Richards during her difficult split. TMZ first reported the news of the divorce,s aying that he filed for divorce in Los Angeles on July 7, listing July 4 as their date of separation and citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“Thinking of you bbygrl,” one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, tagging Richards.

“Thinking of you bbygrl you have always been so brave esp w/ these (expletive) boys keep your head up!,” another fan commented.

“Sending love to DeniseRichards We saw how Aaron treated her at the garden party on RHOBH,” a fan wrote.

“I BELIEVE HER! He literally said he would crush her hand…. I ain’t forget that!,” a fan commented on a post by a bravo fan account.

“Poor Denise. I wish she could just find a calm but smoking hot man who would treat her like a queen,” another fan wrote on the post.

Richards’ former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars made sure to publicly stand behind her following news of the divorce.

During an episode of Two Ts in a Pod that aired on Friday, July 11, Jayne spoke out against Phypers.

“He’s asking her for spousal support,” Jayne said. “She’s a working mom.”

“Come on, man. Don’t do this,” she added.

Mellencamp certainly didn’t hold back.

“And you’re gross,” she stated. “Very few men do I despise as much as that guy. He’s easy to despise.”

The two both agreed that he’s not their “favorite person.”
