Garcelle Beauvais Responds to Erika Jayne’s Comment About Her Dating Life on RHOBH

Garcelle Beauvais issued a response to Erika Jayne’s comments about her dating life in a confessional on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

During a March 18 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Beauvais was asked for her reaction to Erika Jayne saying she might have peaked in the 1990s when it came to her dating life. At first, Beauvais replied, “[Expletive] Erika.”

Bravo host Andy Cohen chimed in to point out that Beauvais dated some high-profile men back in the day. “I will say, just looking at both sides of the equation, your ’90s roster was impeccable,” he told the actress.

Beauvais laughed and agreed. “I mean, I was a young starlet. Maybe I did peak!” she laughed. She then added, “I married for love, not for money.”

Beauvais was previously married to Daniel Saunders, then later to talent manager Mike Nilon from 2001 to 2011. She has three sons from her two marriages.

Erika Jayne Questioned Garcelle Beauvais’ Dating ‘Roster’

On the RHOBH season 14 episode “Sutton on Trial at Sea,” Beauvais questioned co-star Kyle Richards’ secrecy about her relationship with Morgan Wade. But in a confessional, Erika revealed that the rest of the group also knew very little about Beauvais’ dating life. She then noted that Beauvais used to have quite a “roster” of men back in the day.

A clip from an earlier episode of RHOBH was shown, with Erika asking Beauvais to name the biggest star she ever went on a date with.

“Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Sean Penn,” she replied. Beauvais also noted that she once made out with Johnny Depp.

In the new episode, Erika quipped that while Beauvais had a past roster of A-list men, she may have peaked in that department. “Garcelle wants to know information about Kyle’s private life, yet we know nothing about Garcelle’s private life,” Erika said. “Who is Garcelle sleeping with? I know she had a roster. Back in the ’90s it was good. Maybe she peaked.”

Beauvais previously dished on her dates with celebrity men in a November 2022 interview on “We’re Being Honest With Laverne Cox.”  At the time, she told Cox she was once pursued by NBA legend Michael Jordan after meeting him on the set of a photoshoot for Essence magazine in the 1980s. Beauvais claimed that while she went out to dinner with the basketball pro, she turned down his invitation to a trip to Hawaii.

She also noted that she had an “off and on” romance with her “Coming to America” co-star Eddie Murphy, and went on a friendly date with Sean Penn. Beauvais later met Johnny Depp at a club in Miami and ended up hitting it off with him. She also went on a “couple of dates” with Will Smith.

These days, Beauvais’ dating life is more private. In 2024, she told Us Weekly she spent thousands of dollars on a dating app and met no men through it.

She also shared that the timing was right for her to put a bigger focus on dating. “My kids are going to be going off to college and it’s like, ‘Well, what about me?’” she said. “Figuring out that part when…I’m not a mom and when I’m not focusing on my career, I think it’s time.”
