Kathy Hilton made a surprising remark during the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 14 reunion.
During the cast’s season-ending sitdown with host Andy Cohen, Hilton confessed that she still hoped that her sister, Kyle Richards, would get back together with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, nearly two years after their split.
In an emotional moment during the RHOBH reunion, Cohen asked Hilton, “Kathy, would you want to see them reconcile?”
A tearful Hilton replied, “Yes… because I don’t like things to change.”
Cohen expressed surprise over Hilton’s answer. “I’m so surprised to hear you say that,” the Bravo host admitted.
Richards chimed in to explain that her sister still gets “very upset” about the situation.
Fans also had a lot to say about the moment, with some pointing to Hilton’s husband Rick’s past business drama with Umansky.
“I did not have Kathy crying about Kyle and Mauricio on my bingo card. #RHOBH,” one viewer commented on X.
“Wait Kathy…don’t you hate Mauricio??? Why do you want them back together????” another asked.
“Kathy hates change more than she hates Mauricio. #RHOBH,” another chimed in.
Richards and Umansky announced their separation in July 2023 after 30 years together. They have yet to file for divorce.

In November 2023, she told Extra that she had hope that her sister’s marriage would work out. “I would love it if they could put it back together, that would be great,” Hilton said of Richards and Umansky’s situation. “Never say never,” she added of a potential reconciliation.
During a December 2024 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Hilton still teased the possibility that the separated couple could reconcile.
After Cohen asked her, “Do you think there’s any chance that Kyle and Mau could get back together?” Hilton replied, “I always say ‘There’s always a chance.’”
“I say how I feel, and I like Mau,” the socialite added. “And I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t. He can be charming [and] fun. We actually had a really nice time the last time I saw him.”

Hilton wasn’t the only one who became emotional during the RHOBH reunion. Richards broke down in tears while talking about the “weird” dynamic she feels amid her separation from her husband.
“It’s sad, no matter what, it’s weird,” she said. “You’ve been with somebody for 30 years. It’s just sad. …I feel sad for my kids, and I feel sad when I look back at what a great life we had. This is a loss.”
Richards also admitted she has “regrets” that both she and Umansky allowed themselves “to get to this place,” and admitted she wished they had “communicated better when things started bubbling up” in their marriage.
Richards pointed to the changes that took place during her three decades with Umansky.
“Money, traveling, the business, the Agency growing, the attention he was getting,” she said. “With all that, women are snakes. They see a man who’s a good husband, good father, has money. They say, ‘Oh, I want that,’ throwing themselves at him. We got married very young. He never got to go out. And I think that contributed to the downfall of our marriage.”
