Amy Bingham is opening up for the first time since her early departure from โBig Brother 27,โ sharing what viewers didnโt get to see before the live feeds began. While her time in the house was short, the 43-year-old contestant says key alliances and early conversations played a much bigger role than fans might think.
Amy Bingham Details Early Tensions Tied to Rachel Reilly
Speaking to the New York Post, Bingham revealed that her early bond with returning houseguest Rachel Reilly didnโt go unnoticed. โSo initially what people donโt see is the live feeds from Tuesday to Sunday, before Showergate happened, right away people were saying, โYouโre putting yourself as a target because youโre close with Rachel, youโve got to distance yourself, you canโt be close with her. They want her out,โโ she recalled.
Despite the pressure, Bingham stuck by her loyalty. โEveryone was telling me that was a problem โ but I couldnโt help it. Iโm still gonna be friends with her,โ she said. At the same time, she made it clear that Reilly wasnโt responsible for her exit. โSheโs absolutely not the reason why I went home in the second week.โ
One Conversation With Vince Panaro Shifted Amy Binghamโs Big Brother 27 Fate
According to Bingham, a private conversation with fellow houseguest Vince Panaro set her eviction in motion. โIโm the reason I went home because of my stupid conversation I had with Vinny,โ she said. That conversation involved warning him about Jimmy Heagerty. โHeโs a lying snake because he is, and I knew that on day two,โ she added.
Bingham said she felt comfortable opening up to Vince because โVinny reminds me of my brother, so there was some familiarity and comfortability I think by telling him. Dumb move on my part.โ She believes that moment led Jimmy to retaliate. โThat was why Jimmy had it out for me and was petty and wanted to put me up as a renom, even though strategically, it wasnโt best for his game.โ
The odds werenโt in her favor either. When Keanu Soto and Kelley Jorgensen won powers that saved them from nomination, Bingham knew she was in danger. โIt was bad luck,โ she admitted. โI had a dream I was sitting and talking to Julie [Chen Moonves]. So, it was like, โIโm going home this week. This is my sign. This is my message, all the powers against me.โโ
After failing to win the Blockbuster competition, her fate was sealed. โIt was already like a done deal. So once I didnโt win the Blockbuster, which sucks, I knew I was going home for sure.โ
โBig Brother 27โ airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.
