Heather Rae El Moussa is in her feelings about her son growing up too fast!
The HGTV star put up an emotional post on Instagram revealing that she let her two-and-a-half year-old son Tristan take preschool for a test run.
The adorable picture with the post shows towheaded Tristan proudly showing off his navy blue backpack and lunchbox, both emblazoned with dinosaurs.
In the post, Heather wrote, “My mama heart 🥹
My sweet boy had a “drop in” at the sweetest little preschool today.
Even though we are not ready for pre school just yet… I am so proud of him and so happy that he loved it so much.
And I’m proud of myself lol mama handled it well!”
‘Drop‑In’ Day: Big Feelings in Small Steps
Though Tristan isn’t officially enrolled, Heather and Tarek El Moussa decided to let their toddler experience a taste of preschool life. And it’s easy to see by his big smile in the picture that Tristan loved every minute!
The short visit gave the little boy the chance to explore, mingle with other children, and get accustomed to the classroom environment.
Heather was quick to celebrate the triumph. She admitted that although they’re not in a rush to send him full-time, seeing him enjoy that first drop-in visit warmed her mama heart—and reassured her that when the time is right, he’ll be ready.
Heather El Moussa Celebrates Motherhood
Heather Rae El Moussa has said she’s being intentional about soaking up her time with Tristan at every stage.
In a recent Instagram post showing special moments with her son, Heather writes, “Nothing fills my heart more than time with my little guy. The cuddles, the giggles, the chaos, I wouldn’t trade this for anything in the world. 🫶🏼💕”
Heather El Moussa’s Dreams Include Another Baby
Heather Rae El Moussa has been vocal about wanting to add to her family.
And she’s been equally transparent that she and husband Tarek are not on the same page about that.
In an Instagram post, she wrote, “To be honest, I was never one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding or planned how many kids she wanted. There was even a time in my life when I didn’t think it would happen for me. I never imagined I’d date a man who already had children. And even when Tarek and I decided to have a baby, I wasn’t sure how becoming a mama would affect me—or how incredibly life-changing it would be, in a way that’s hard to even explain.”
In an episode of the “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad” podcast, Heather told the hosts, “(Tristan) is, like, the light of my life. It makes me so happy. I’m like, ‘How could I not want more? But my husband is very much done. So we’re very different on what we want for our future, which is hard.”
While Tarek may not want to have another baby, Heather has a staunch ally in her 9-year-old stepson Brayden.
In a June interview with E News, Brayden said, “Well, I want another kid, just because.. to get Tristan away from me, a little bit farther. So he can hang out with his other brother and I won’t get blamed for everything.”
