Dolly Parton has already proved her rock n’ roll cred. After all, she was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame AND released her “Rock Star” album.
But now she’s upping the ante with a new collab with heavy metal band Motley Crue!
The band just dropped a brand new version of their classic hit “Home Sweet Home.” And it features none other than the legendary Dolly Parton on vocals alongside lead singer Vince Neil.
A post on the band’s Instagram page shows a graphic reading “Dolly Crue.” And the caption reads, “Mรถtley Crรผe are honored to announce โHOME SWEET HOMEโ Featuring the Iconicย @dollypartonย – OUT NOW!

Motley Crue Debuts World Premiere of New Video for Classic Hit
The band dropped an accompanying video for the new collab Friday, June 20 at noon ET.
The countdown to the premiere of the new video featured an intro. In it, Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx and Dolly Parton are sitting side by side. Nikki says, “It was an honor to have Dolly Parton lend her vocals to ‘Home Sweet Home’ for its 40th anniversary.” He then went on to explain that some of the proceeds from the song will go to Covenant House. The charity that fights teen homelessness is a cause the band says is close to their hearts.
Thousands turned out to watch the premiere of the video on YouTube. Many commented with excitement about the new version of the song.
The video is a mix of vintage footage of the band performing and Dolly Parton in the recording studio singing her part of the song. The video starts with a graphic reading “Nashville April 2025.”
Motley Crue Set to Drop a Greatest Hits Compilation
The new version of “Home Sweet Home” featuring Dolly Parton will be included on Motley Crue’s newly announced greatest hits compilation,ย called “From the Beginning.” That drops September 19.
It will be the Crue’s ninth compilation album, mirroring the number of original studio albums they produced.
